Club Policies

Membership & Dues |
- As of 2006,
The Chester Dive Club does not require any dues to be paid to
participate in club activities and trips.The members of the dive
club have elected to disband the formal organization and keep
the club together as an informal group of dive enthusiasts. The
dive club will no longer have officer positions or have any type
of director.

Trip
Organizer |
- For each
club trip or activity a trip organizer will be elected. The trip
organizer will be responsible for collecting and dispursing deposits
and payments for club trips and activities.
- Any active
member can volunteer to organize and plan any trip.
- The trip
organizer is not liable or responsible in any way for any accident
or injury that may occur during a trip or activity.
- Any incentives,
commissions or discounts offered by dive operators, hotels, etc.
may be given to the trip organizer for planning, organizing and
executing the trip.
- The trip
organizer may also elect to add a 5% surcharge to the cost of
a trip to help pay for their personal costs of planning and organizing
the trip.

| Deposit
and Cancellation Policy |
- Once a trip
is announced the available spots will be first come first serve.
- A deposit
deadline and a balance due deadline will be given when the trip
is posted.
- Once a deposit
is made your spot will be filled.
- Deposit amounts
will vary by trip and may be NON REFUNDABLE depending on the nature
of the trip.
- The balance
is due in full on or before the final date listed. If the
balance is not paid your spot will be opened and your deposit
may be lost unless your spot is filled.
- If you cannot
make the trip, for any reason, you may loose your deposit or the
entire trip amount depending on the nature of the trip.
- Airfare is
up to the individual member to acquire and pay for.
- The total
trip cost posted, emailed or discussed is only a good faith estimate.
Prices can change depending on the number of divers, airfare rates,
gas prices, etc. Club members will be responsible for covering
their additional costs if they do occur.

| Miscellaneous
Information |
- Tips
for dive masters and boat crew should be calculated into
the personal budget of the individual divers but are not required.
On average divers tend to tip the crew about $10.00 per day. Remember,
crew members and dive masters usually work only for tips.
- Tank
Rental and/or air fills are usually not included in the
price of a dive boat charter and each diver is responsible for
securing their own tanks and fills.
- Transportation
to dive sites, airports or hotels is usually left to
individual members to secure. Trips that include transportation
will have the transportation details in the trip description.
- Common
additional expenses that are to be paid by the individual
divers include food, taxes, transfers to and from airports, tips,
car rental, fuel and insurance for rental vehicles, extra unforeseen
expenses for layovers or delays.

other dive shop, organization, club or instructor. All
activities, trips and training that is done through The Chester
Dive Club is done independently.
